To ask the Minister for Health the actions that have been taken, or have been planned, to fulfil the recommendation in the 2023 Review of the Operation of the Health (Regulation of Termination of Pregnancy) Act 2018 that "the HSE, in collaboration with relevant stakeholders, including the RCPI, should develop specific guidelines for comfort (hospice) care for the short duration of the life of babies who survive birth following a termination of pregnancy"; the guidance currently available for staff providing comfort care in this situation; and if she will make a statement on the matter. To ask the Minister for Health the policies and procedures that are in place for communication of information on perinatal palliative care, by the HSE and management of maternity hospitals, to ensure that parents who are considering terminating their pregnancy at a later stage when their baby could be born alive are informed and able to avail of perinatal palliative care; and if she will make a statement on the matter.
