I propose to take Questions Nos. 402 and 403 together.

The public bodies funded through my Department’s Vote and for which the Secretary General is the Accounting Officer, are as follows:

  • the Child and Family Agency (www.tusla.ie/), established in January 2014 under the www.irishstatutebook.ie/eli/2013/act/40/enacted/en/html
  • the Adoption Authority of Ireland (AAI) (), established in November 2010 under the (www.irishstatutebook.ie/eli/2010/act/21/enacted/en/html)
  • the Ombudsman for Children’s Office (OCO) (www.oco.ie/childrens-rights/), established in 2004 under the Ombudsman for Children Act 2002 (www.irishstatutebook.ie/eli/2002/act/22/enacted/en/html)
  • the Oberstown Children Detention Campus (www.oberstown.com/), established under the Children Act 2001 (www.irishstatutebook.ie/eli/2001/act/24/enacted/en/html)
  • the National Disability Authority (NDA) ()
My Department also provides the primary source of funding for Gaisce (www.gaisce.ie/), the President’s Award. Gaisce is a limited company set up under the Companies Acts.

The information regarding prompt payment reporting data for my Department’s aegis bodies is publicly available on our website: www.gov.ie/en/department-of-children-equality-disability-integration-and-youth/collections/department-of-children-equality-disability-integration-and-youth-prompt-payment-reports/ for 2024 and Q1 2025. Further information is available on the websites of the respective aegis bodies (hyperlinked above).

Staff in my Department actively engage with aegis bodies on compliance matters, including prompt payment reporting.
