As with all of my EU counterparts, I regularly meet with Foreign Minister Casper Veldkamp and Foreign Trade and Development Minister Reinette Klever at Foreign Affairs Councils in Brussels. These opportunities to engage on the EU agenda, and to get to know our fellow ministers create the strong understanding that we share as Europeans.
In March, I had a constructive phone call with Minister Klever on trade matters.
In advance of Ireland's Presidency of the European Council in 2026, I anticipate visiting many European capitals, to meet with counterparts. As diaries allow, I will always welcome my counterparts to visit Ireland, and during our EU Presidency in 2026, look forward to welcoming them all here.
