456. To ask the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport if he will provide a breakdown, by Department or office, of the percentage of employees who have disclosed a disability for the past ten years, in tabular form; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [20008/25]

Part 5 of the Disability Act 2005 sets out the obligations placed on all public bodies to support the employment of persons with disabilities. This act sets out the minimum statutory employment target for persons with disabilities to be employed in the public sector. In 2024 this target from 3% to a minimum of 4.5%. This will increase to 6% in 2025.

The number of employees who have disclosed a disability currently exceeds the statutory minimum requirement.
