TVRS is delivered by local authorities who work with community organisations to identify and develop suitable projects and submit applications for funding in respect of initiatives in their areas. The scheme, which sees our local authorities work with community actors, primarily targets funding at rural towns and villages with populations of less than 10,000.

On 19 March last I was delighted to launch the 2025 TVRS scheme which is now open for applications. The scheme is intended to support the revitalisation of rural Ireland by focusing on stimulating town centre economic and social regeneration. This will be achieved through projects which support sustainable employment creation, town centre resilience and regeneration, enhancement of our streetscapes, and the bringing of vacant and derelict buildings or lands back into use as community multi-purpose spaces.

Full details of the 2025 scheme, and the various funding streams available within it, are available on my Department's website. In relation to the project referenced in the details supplied, the Deputy may wish to engage with Waterford County Council in relation to submitting an application in relation to this years scheme.
