The Town and Village Renewal Scheme (TVRS), which was introduced in 2016, is one of a number of measures designed to rejuvenate rural towns and villages throughout Ireland.
TVRS funding approved in 2024 placed particular emphasis on projects that bring economic and social vibrancy to town centres in line with Government policy, which will encourage more people into town and village centres to work, live and socialise. In April 2024, funding of €20.4 million was announced to support 82 TVRS projects nationally and of this County Meath was allocated over €1.1 million for four projects.
Day to day management and delivery of TVRS projects is managed by our local authorities. Details in relation to projects which were approved for Town and Village Renewal funding in County Meath in 2024 are set out in the table below.
I was delighted to open the 2025 scheme for applications on 19 March 2025. Full details of the 2025 scheme are available on my Department’s website. I look forward to receiving high quality applications from across the country, and to announcing the successful projects later this year.
