This is a matter for my cabinet colleague, the Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage.
Supporting all households experiencing homelessness, including families with children, remains a priority. The Department of Housing is working closely with local authorities and their service delivery partners to support households to exit homelessness to a tenancy, tenancies in local authority and Affordable Housing Body properties or in the private rental market supported by the Housing Assistance Payment as well as the Tenant in Situ Scheme.
Under Housing for All, an increased supply of housing and accommodation – social, affordable and private - remains the ultimate solution to addressing the challenge in the longer term.
