The OPW is responsible for the procurement and lease of my Department's Head Office at Block 1, Miesian Plaza.

My Department signed a 25-year lease with Irish Estates in 1998 for premises at the Irish Life building to house the Women’s Health Council. This was subsequently used to house the Disability Appeals Office. The Regulator of The National Lottery sublet the premises from my Department on an annual basis from 2015 until the lease ended in November 2023. The lease cost to my Department was on a net neutral basis as all costs were paid by the Regulator of The National Lottery. The rent cost from 2015-2023 was €788,000.

My Department entered into a lease with the Health Research Board (HRB) for additional accommodation at Grattan House, Lower Mount Street, Dublin 2. The lease was signed on the 2nd March 2020 for a period of 3 years and the rent cost was €463,845.

My Department contracted the offices for the Farrelly Commission of Investigation, Ormond Quay, Dublin 1 through a service agreement which commenced in October 2017. The functions vested in the Minister for Health with respect to the Commission of Investigation transferred under S.I. No. 688/2022 - Specialist Community-Based Disability Services (Transfer for Departmental Administration and Ministerial Functions) Order 2022 (www.irishstatutebook.ie/eli/2022/si/688/made/en/print#:~:text=S.I.,and%20Ministerial%20Functions)%20Order%202022) to the Minister for Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth effective from 1st March 2023. The rental cost from October 2017 to 2023 was €1,405,553.

My Department leased office space for staff of the Restoration of Trust Meetings process in Pembroke House from August 2021 and subsequently Lis Cara Business Centre (Fitzwilliam Square) until September 2024. The rental cost from August 2021 to September 2024 was €82,351.
