Recruitment and Retention are priority to the Department of Health and the HSE. To aid these efforts the HSE have opened the relevant HSE recruitment panels to CDNT Section 38s and Section 39s so they could fill their vacant posts directly from in-situ panels and thus expedite the recruitment process, taking a whole health service approach.

The advancement of the HSE career hub providing supports to candidates, together with expanding the reach of the HSE has led to an active candidate membership of over 43k, who the HSE engage with on an ongoing basis, regarding developments and supportive webinars. These engagements represent CDNTs and the wider services in the HSE, Section 38s and Section 39s. careerhub.hse.ie/.

In addition, Section 38s and Section 39 CDNT posts can now be advertised on HSE jobs page, giving access to organisations to the 43k active members on the HSE career Hub. In affect this means as jobs are advertised, candidates will receive notifications relevant to their criteria. Funded agencies that use this route are reporting a rise in eligible applicants to fill their vacant posts, which is resulting in expedited filling of vacant jobs.

These recruitment efforts should aid the filling of posts and enable staff across the health service to apply for vacancies in the Kerry Peninsula.
