To ask the Minister for Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth if she will provide a breakdown, by Department or office, of the percentage of employees who have disclosed a disability for the past ten years, in tabular form; and if she will make a statement on the matter. My Department is committed to creating an equal, inclusive and diverse work environment that supports all employees and promotes and supports the increased recruitment and retention of persons with disabilities.
Under Part 5 of the Disability Act my Department is obliged to submit annual Part 5 returns on the number of employees that have shared a disability. The returns for my Department are published by the National Disability Authority as part of their Annual Reports on Compliance with Part 5 of the Disability Act and are available on their website. Below is the percentage of employees in my Department who have shared a disability under Part 5 of the legislation, including the returns for 2023 and 2024 which have yet to be published by the National Disability Authority.
