Public procurement is governed by EU and national rules and my Department ensures that appropriate procedures are followed for procurement activity. Departments are obliged to ensure that public procurement is discharged in line with the standard accounting and procurement rules and that contracts awarded represent best value for money.

Public procurement practices are subject to audit and scrutiny under the Comptroller and Auditor General (Amendment) Act 1993. Procurement is also subject to internal audit within my Department.

Listed below are details relating to the ten current contracts held with the company referred to by the Deputy:

  • AFIS System Support services
  • FormIO and Al Fresco Licencing
  • Microsoft PowerApps design and development services
  • Lotus Notes Development Services
  • Software development and maintenance services for the Department's IT Applications
  • Development and support services for the Departments enterprise case management system and public facing portal
  • Support and maintenance of the Oracle FMS
  • Hardware and Software services and support for PKI system
  • Web Application Development Team
  • Website Design support team
