The Citizens Information Board (CIB) funds and supports eight independent regional Citizen Information Service (CIS) companies, which in turn operate a national network of Citizens Information Centres. It is important to note that each CIS is a limited company governed by a voluntary Board of Directors, which make decisions independently on the delivery of services in their regions.
North Munster Citizen Information Service (NMCIS) is an independent company responsible for the provision of information, advice, and advocacy services across the North Munster Region. Services are delivered in three locations across Limerick as follows:
- Limerick CIC- (centres.citizensinformation.ie/centre.php?cic=Limerick%20CIC) Ground Floor Riverstone House, Henry Street Limerick, Co. Limerick.
- Kilmallock CIC (centres.citizensinformation.ie/centre.php?cic=Kilmallock+CIC) - Pastoral Centre, Sheare's Street, Killmallock.
- Newcastle West CIC (centres.citizensinformation.ie/centre.php?cic=Newcastlewest+CIC) - 1st Floor, The Desmond Complex, Gortboy, Newcastle West.
The following table shows the number of employees in each of the CIS centres in Limerick, including the grade of each employee in tabular form.
