212. To ask the Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade if he will provide a breakdown, by Department or office, of the percentage of employees who have disclosed a disability for the past ten years, in tabular form; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [20010/25]

My Department is committed to creating an inclusive and supportive environment for employees with disabilities, and to ensuring equality of opportunity in all its employment practices in line with the National Disability Inclusion Strategy 2017-2021 and its obligations under part 5 of the Disability Act 2005.

The Department’s Human Resources Strategy 2023-2027, and Gender, Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (GEDI) Action Plan 2022 -2025 include a number of actions aimed at supporting greater diversity and inclusion in the workforce. These include mainstreaming and extending policies and practices in the areas of diversity and inclusivity with an emphasis on increasing employment of persons with disabilities.

My Department provides work experience opportunities for persons with disabilities via AHEAD’s (the Association for Higher Education Access & Disability) Willing Able and Mentoring programme, and the Oireachtas’ Work Learning (OWL) programme.

The percentage of people with disclosed disabilities employed in my Department are set out in the following table.
