My Department has been informed by Cork City Council that they are assessing the potential for redevelopment and regeneration of social housing at Noonan's Road. The Council is working on early feasibility and capital appraisal, including consideration regarding the planned relocation of residents from their existing accommodation. I have been advised that the Council is currently progressing with the decant process to move existing residents to new homes.
The Council has also advised that in due course, when the capital appraisal is completed and a procurement and design route chosen, a submission will be made to my Department. Once received, my Department will liaise with and review the proposal submitted by Cork City Council in this regard.
