To ask the Minister for Culture, Heritage and the Gaeltacht if all IT systems used by his Department can utilise the síneadh fada; where this is not the case, to provide the list of systems which do not accept or facilitate the use of the fada, in tabular form; the steps being taken to address this issue; and if he will make a statement on the matter. All ICT systems which my Department uses accept the use of the síneadh fada, with the exception of the version of the Oracle Financial Management System that is currently in place where there are some limitations in its use. The planned transition to the NSSO Financial Shared Service in 2026 which includes a System upgrade should lead to improvements in this regard.
