My Department’s Dublin based locations at Kildare Street, Dawson Street and the Earlsfort Centre are serviced by cleaning staff who are directly employed by the Department. They are permanent members of staff and no external service providers are engaged at these sites.
A number of my Department’s Offices have contractual arrangements in place with external cleaning service providers. Details of these are set out in the table below.
Location | Cleaning Service Provider | Contract Value |
---|---|---|
Companies Registration Office, Dublin | Grovenor Cleaning Services | €130,000 |
Workplace Relations Commission (premises at Lansdowne Road, Ennis, Sligo, Clare and Carlow. (CRO Carlow also avail of this contract) | Allpro Services | €375,000 |
Intellectual Property Office of Ireland (IPOI), Kilkenny. The value of the contract is shared between IPOI and three other Departments in this building. | Allpro Services | Total value of the contract is €67,172.14. (IPOI’s proportion of the contract value is €39,987.57) |

The table sets out the names of any external companies who are engaged to provide security services at my Department’s buildings and the value of the contracts.
Location | Company providing Security Service | Contract Value |
---|---|---|
Department of Enterprise, Trade and Employment Earlsfort Centre | Bidvest Noonan | €33,500 |
Intellectual Property Office of Ireland, Kilkenny The value of the contract is shared between IPOI and three other Departments in this building. | Manguard Plus Limited | Total value of the contract is €55,073.12. (IPOI’s proportion of the contract value is €32,785.03) |
Companies Registration Office, Dublin | Bidvest Noonan | A service agreement is in place for alarm monitoring amounting to €378 per year. |
Companies Registration Office, Dublin | Brinks Allied | A service agreement is in place for cash-in-transit collections which operates by request each month. |
In relation to the Workplace Relations Commission’s offices in Cork, Ennis and Sligo while there is no contract for security services, the WRC does contribute to the costs of contracts that are managed by other departments. These departments are either main tenants or the landlord of the respective buildings. The costs are based on alarm monitoring call-out charges.
