720. To ask the Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment the number of members of each of the registered trade unions in Ireland notified to his Department as being in benefit on 31 December 2024; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [19906/25]

The Trade Union Act, 1941 requires any body of persons which wishes to carry on negotiations on the fixing of wages or other conditions of employment to hold a negotiation licence granted by my Department

Within one month after 31st December each year a trade union which is the holder of a negotiation licence shall send to my Department a statement of the number of its members on the 31st December and, if it is necessary to increase or reduce a deposit under Part II of the Trade Union Act, 1941, as amended by section 2 of the Trade Union Act, 1971.

I attach the number of members of each Trade Union that holds a Negotiation licence on 31st December 2024.
