627. To ask the Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform if each OPW heritage site has a facility to accept credit or debit card for payments where there is an admission fee to gain entry to the heritage site. [18975/25]

The Office of Public Works is responsible for the conservation and presentation of over 780 National Monuments and 32 Historic Properties nationwide. The table below and attached outlines the 49 OPW heritage sites where visitor services are provided and where an admission fee is charged to gain entry. This table also outlines where credit/debit card facilities are available currently.
Internet connectivity constraints have delayed the installation of a credit card facilities at two sites: Old Mellifont Abbey Monastic Site, Co Louth and Roscrea Castle and Damer House/Black Mills, Co Tipperary. It is noted that work is currently underway to install credit card facilities at both of these sites.
