Reaching a driving licence exchange agreement with another jurisdiction is a comprehensive process and such agreements can be made only when the relevant authorities in each jurisdiction have studied and compared the two licensing regimes and are satisfied that they are comparable. The core principle for Ireland is to ensure the continued safety of Irish road users.
The Road Safety Authority has advised that it's technical team is still examining Nova Scotia's driver licensing system, and there is no further update on this matter.
