I propose to take Questions Nos. 267 and 268 together.
My Department is working to progress the housing actions in the Programme for Government, including the commitment to establish a new Strategic Housing Activation Office in my Department to help coordinate and accelerate home building by unblocking infrastructure delays.
The establishment of the Strategic Housing Activation Office is a key commitment of the Programme for Government and a top priority for me. My Department is progressing the establishment of this office and are engaging with other Government Departments, utility providers and key stakeholders in relation to their involvement in the office.
The Terms of Reference for the Office will be agreed shortly and matters in relation to functions, powers and the appointment of an individual to lead the Office, as well as the overall staffing, will be finalised thereafter.
