I propose to take Questions Nos. 205 and 206 together.

The specific information requested by the Deputy in relation to the amount of emails received from the public is not routinely retained and recorded, however, tabulated below are the figures for emails received into the Minister’s inbox , the Ministers of States’ inboxes and the Department’s customer services inboxes for 2024.

Inbox Quantity
Minister 6,260
Ministers of State 8,856
Customer Service 1,305
Total 16,421
The number of physical letters received by the Minister’s Office and by the Department's customers service team is not information that is recorded by my Department. Any correspondence that is received is digitised and a response issued through the Department’s eCorrespondence platform. All correspondence is logged on this platform with no distinction made between physical letters and email correspondence.
