The Department actively encourages the use of environmental transport through the provision of electric vehicle charging points. We hope that this will in turn encourage the use of electric vehicles, thereby reducing the environmental impact of car emissions on both our customers and staff.

The Department does not procure the infrastructure for electric vehicles - this is a matter for OPW. However, there has been ongoing engagement with the OPW for the provision of EV charging points in state-owned car parking spaces managed by my department.

To date, the installation of EV charging points has been completed in the locations listed below. The department, has also established a maintenance contract with EC Charging for the provision of maintenance services for EV chargers.
