Each year my department, engages with the enterprise agencies, Enterprise Ireland IDA Ireland and in 2025, Tourism Ireland, to develop a Ministerial-led Trade Missions Programme for the year ahead.
We have developed a programme of trade promotion and investment missions and events which support the goal of securing high-level market access for companies based in Ireland who are aiming to grow business overseas and increase domestic employment, and which showcase opportunities for foreign direct investment in support of high-quality jobs and regional development throughout Ireland.
Trade Missions are planned for Mid-West Chicago and Minneapolis on the 11- 17 May 2025 and to the West Coast – San Francisco and Seattle on the 21 – 27 September 2025.
These missions focus on promoting the innovative capabilities and competitive offerings of Irish companies to international buyers and strengthening strategic relationships with decision-making firms navigating complex global trade and regulatory environments and help secure future investments in priority sectors such as AI, digital technology, green tech including internationally traded services, fintech, high-tech construction, engineering, ICT and life sciences.
My Department will continue to grow and strengthen the transatlantic economic relationship with the US. and to use our agencies as a conduit to build upon our enterprise and business relationships.
