The Department of Public Expenditure, National Development Plan Delivery and Reform is aware of progress made to date to implement the Gender Recognition Act 2015 and the recommendations arising from the Review of the Act.
This Department is aware that some work has been undertaken to conduct an impact assessment of extending legal gender recognition to people who are non-binary, which was one of the recommendations arising from the Review.
We understand that the Department of Social Protection will be in touch when a date has been confirmed for the next stage of the process to progress this commitment.
