The school referred to by the deputy is currently based in temporary accommodation. It is intended that the school will relocate to a former primary school building that is currently occupied by a special school, pending the construction of a new school building for that special school. The new school building for the special school is currently underway and it is envisaged that it will be completed in the 3rd quarter of 2025.

My department is in ongoing engagement with the patron in relation to the school's relocation and the department recently carried out a technical visit to the building proposed for the relocation of the school. My department has now appointed a project manager to examine options for refurbishment works at the planned building for Gaelscoil Phadraig and this process is ongoing.
