I am aware of the incident and officials from my Department are liaising with National Parks and Wildlife Services (NPWS) in relation to this matter. It would not be appropriate to comment on individual cases.

My Department operates a confidential animal welfare helpline and email through which members of the public can report incidents of animal cruelty or neglect.
