The information requested by the Deputy in relation to the job titles and salaries of Ministerial staff and Department private secretaries is set out below.
Private Secretaries are established civil servants selected from within the existing staff cohort of my Department. Special Advisers and Civilian Drivers are temporary positions in the Civil Service, with no entitlement to permanent status. Their terms of employment cease on the date the Minister or Minister of State ceases to hold Office.

Both I and the Government are committed to ensuring that An Garda Síochána has the resources it needs to fight crime and a strengthened, well-resourced Garda organisation is central to this policy.
The Garda Vote in Budget 2025 saw unprecedented funding of over €2.48 billion for this year, a 27% increase since 2020 which is supporting the continued recruitment of Garda members and staff.
