700. To ask the Tánaiste and Minister for Justice and Equality when he expects to receive an updated analysis of knife crime from An Garda Síochána, similar to that produced in 2021; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [16746/25]

I am informed that An Garda Síochána is working to compile an update of their previous proactive publication on knife related crime which will provide further insight on the variety of contexts in which a knife may be a feature of an incident, including being used to threaten or to commit physical violence.
It is anticipated that this report will be published in the second quarter of 2025. The previous report is available at:
