660. To ask the Minister for Employment Affairs and Social Protection the number of people who are over 65 years of age and in receipt of the half-rate carer’s payment ,and what it would cost to pay this cohort the full carers payment. [16602/25]

As of 31 December 2024, there were 18,316 customers aged 66 years and above and receiving Half-Rate Carer's Allowance.

Following clarification from the Deputy on the exact nature of the proposed measure, my officials are seeking additional data to provide the cost as soon as practicable.
