647. To ask the Minister for Housing, Planning, and Local Government if he has been in communication with the Department for Social Protection as part of the interdepartmental working group tasked with assessing the impact of a new, non-binary, category of gender on existing legislation; when he is planning the next meeting with the representatives from the Department for Social Protection to investigate legislative implications of non-binary gender recognition; and if he will make a statement on the matter. My Department is currently not a member of this interdepartmental group nor has it been in communication with the Department for Social Protection in relation to it.
Should we be invited to participate in the group in the future, we would be happy to provide representation and contribute to its work in any way that we can.
