Over a quarter of a billion euro was allocated to 3,048 community sports clubs and facilities in 2024 from the 2023 round of the Community Sport Facilities Fund representing the largest-ever investment in sports facilities in communities across Ireland.

With regard to the club referred to by the Deputy, an email issued to the club on 12 March 2025 setting out the information required to complete its application for formal approval. The club applied again for formal approval on 31 March without submitting the information requested by the Department. The Department will process the request for formal approval when the requested information has been provided.
