Since being appointed to my role as Minister of State with responsibility for the OPW I have been familiarising myself with the background to the issues of access at Castletown. I have met with the elected representatives of Celbridge and North Kildare to brief them on my plans for the resolution of these issues. I am committed to the reopening of this important heritage site and to ensuring that Castletown is protected and preserved for the enjoyment of generations to come.
