To ask the Minister for Health the reason for the delay in processing a fair deal scheme application for a person (details supplied); if she is aware that this delay resulted in the expiration of the ten weeks of approved transitional care funding, resulting in this applicant’s family receiving a bill for over €12,000 in costs thus far; if the Minister will ensure this fair deal scheme application is processed urgently; and if she will make a statement on the matter.
