64. To ask the Taoiseach for an update on the Cabinet Sub Committee on Water Quality and Nitrates, if the subcommittee has been convened and started its work [15857/25]

The Cabinet Committee on Water Quality has been established in accordance with the commitment in the Programme for Government with a mandate to coordinate water quality improvements across all sectors.

The membership comprises the Taoiseach; Tánaiste and Minister for Foreign Affairs and for Defence; Minister for Finance; Minister for Public Expenditure, NDP Delivery and Reform; Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine; Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage; and Minister for Social Protection and for Rural and Community Development.

The Cabinet Committee on Water Quality had its first meeting on 31 March and will meet next on 16 June.
