Since my appointment as Minister, the ministerial management advisory committee (MinMAC) has met on two occasions, on 27 February and 27 March.

I chair the MinMAC, which is also attended by:

  • the Ministers of State,
  • the Secretary General and Deputy Secretaries,
  • Heads of Function,
  • Director General of the Irish Prison Service,
  • Director of the Probation Service,
  • Chair and Vice Chair of the Department of Justice Principal Officer Network,
  • Ministers’ Special Advisers,
  • Ministers’ Private Secretaries,
  • Ministerial Liaison Officer
  • the Secretary to the Management Board.
On both occasions, the meetings involved discussions relating to legislative and operational priorities, priority commitments in the Programme for Government, and the EU dimension of the work of the Department.
