I have not had any formal engagement with the North-South Ministerial Council (NSMC) since my appointment as Minister in January 2025.

For information, Government Ministers, including my predecessor, met with their counterparts from the Northern Ireland Executive at NSMC plenary meetings in April and September 2024.

The Minister of State for the Gaeltacht attended the NSMC Language Sectoral meeting in May 2024.

Separately, the Ministers with responsibility for Tourism in both jurisdictions met at a NSMC Tourism Sectoral meeting in June 2024. Further Tourism Sectoral meetings are expected to take place in 2025.
