242. To ask the Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade if a passport application (details supplied) can be escalated as the application has passed the target issue date and the applicant’s travel date is imminent; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [15573/25]

With regard to the specific application about which the Deputy has enquired, this is a paper application which was received on 27 January 2025. The Passport Service requested further supporting documents from the applicant on 7 March 2025. The final set of further supporting documents were received from the applicant on 13 March 2025. The turnaround time following receipt of additional documents is 15 working days. This application is within the turnaround time and has not yet reached its issue-by date.
