714. To ask the Minister for Health the progress of allocating the historic funding for pulmonary fibrosis in Budget 2025; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [15078/25]

€500k funding was allocated for pulmonary fibrosis services in 2025. The HSE and the Department of Health have engaged with the Irish Lung Fibrosis Association on the allocation of this funding and have advised by the HSE that a successful candidate has been selected to fill the Clinical Lead post and they are currently awaiting confirmation of their start date. The further allocation of funding for pulmonary fibrosis will be progressed once the successful candidate has taken up their post.
