There are 30 City/County Childcare Committees (CCCs) located nationwide, which are funded by my Department. The core operational funding allocation for City/County Childcare Committees for 2022, 2023 and 2024 is set out in the table below.

In addition to core operational funding, CCCs were provided with funding to support the delivery of a number of specific programmes and initiatives on a per capita and demand led basis. While these funded programmes have changed and developed over the 2022-2024 period, they have included:

  • Access and Inclusion
  • Equality Diversity and Integration
  • The provision of Childminding Development Officers
  • National Childminding Action Plan
  • Core Funding Supports
  • Quality Supports
  • The Learner Fund
  • Parent and Toddler Grant
  • Ukraine Response Supplementary Budget
