My Department operates a Memorandum of Understanding with the Department of Education for Data Governance and Strategy. As such it is agreed that the Data Protection officer for the Department of Education is also the Data Protection officer for my Department.
My Department is committed to the highest standards of data protection compliance and engages with the Data Protection Commission as necessary and consults with them formally where required. My Department's Data Protection Notice is available here: gov.ie - Data protection notice.
Agencies under the remit of my Department are separate data controllers legally and are responsible for their own compliance with data protection legislation.
Attached are contact details for bodies under the aegis of my Department, should the Deputy wish to contact them directly.
