400. To ask the Minister for Education and Skills the reason her Department has not sanctioned a school (details supplied) to go to tender for the necessary extension of six classrooms and associated works; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [14035/25]

The school referred to by the Deputy was approved to enter the Department’s pipeline of school buildings for a project under the Additional School Accommodation (ASA) Scheme to provide a six classroom SEN base. The project was devolved to the school authority for delivery.
A Stage 2b architectural report has been received by my Department in December 2024. The project remains under careful review from a technical and cost perspective as we are committed to a thorough evaluation to ensure compliance with costs, procedural standards, and the project scope. It is not possible to estimate the duration of this review however my Department will endeavour to review as early as possible.
My department will continue to engage with the school authority to provide practical advice and assistance on this much needed project.
