The project to which the Deputy refers is devolved for delivery to Waterford and Wexford Education and Training Board (WWETB).
The brief for this project comprises of the development of a new purpose-built, 25 classroom school for pupils with special educational needs.
The project is currently at Stage 3 (tender stage) of the architectural design process. The Design Team are currently following the procurement procedures for the appointment of the contractor for the project.
It is not possible at this juncture to give a definitive timeline for completion of the project. However, WWETB will continue to engage directly with the school authority to keep it informed of progress.
