To ask the Minister for Education and Skills if she is aware of the position of a school (details supplied) regarding a lack of funding; if she is aware of developments indicating the school will need to physically close as a consequence of underfunding; the urgent action her Department plans to take to avoid the closure of the school; and if she will make a statement on the matter. The Department of Education has been made aware of the current situation in relation to the financial position of the school.

My Department is committed to offering all available and appropriate supports to the school as quickly as necessary to avoid any further uncertainty.

Officials from the Department are in contact with the school and the school’s Patron.
