To ask the Minister for Education and Skills if her attention has been drawn to the severe financial difficulties at a school (details supplied) due to the inadequacy of its capitation grant; the measures she will take to ensure funding is guaranteed to the end of the school year; and if she will make a statement on the matter. The Department of Education has been made aware of the current situation in relation to the financial position of the school.
My Department is committed to offering all available and appropriate supports to the school as quickly as necessary to avoid any further uncertainty.
Officials from my Department are in contact with the school and the school’s Patron.
