Although net employment growth in County Louth was flat in 2024, there were in fact 422 jobs created by Enterprise Ireland supported companies in the county over 2024, this was offset by the loss of 413 jobs in other Enterprise Ireland client companies.
In an overall sense there has been a positive growth trajectory in the county over the last five years; this is in line with the economic growth observed across the wider Irish economy during this time. The county has benefitted from Ireland’s record export performance in recent years; this growth in export business has seen demand for additional employees and subsequent employment growth in the county over the last five years.
