782. To ask the Minister for Health to provide a breakdown of the number of persons who have been removed from outpatient waiting lists, inpatient waiting lists and day case waiting lists, through the outpatient waiting list management protocol, at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda, and Louth County Hospital for each of the years 2020 to 2025, in tabular form; and if she will make a statement on the matter. Waiting List Protocols have been developed to ensure that all public hospitals manage waiting lists in a fair, equitable and transparent manner, describing the processes that must be followed by each hospital when removing a patient from a waiting list.

The majority of patients are removed when they have been treated, others may be removed as a result of waiting list validation or because they have not attended appointments, in accordance with the relevant protocol.

In relation to the particular query raised, as this is a service matter, I have asked the Health Service Executive to respond directly to the Deputy as soon as possible with the total number of people removed from Outpatient and Inpatient/Day case waiting lists in Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda and Louth County Hospital for each of the years 2020 to 2025.
