According to the CSO, beef exports in 2024 amounted to approximately €3 billion in value and 492,000 tonnes in volume, of which the UK (including Northern Ireland) accounted for €1.42 billion in value and 208,000 tonnes in volume.

In 2023, beef exports amounted to approximately €3 billion in value and 484,000 tonnes in volume, of which the UK (including Northern Ireland) accounted for €1.37 billion and 216,000 tonnes.

The spreadsheet at the link below provides a separate value and volume breakdown of beef exports to the UK by category and month for the years 2023 and 2024. The data is tabulated as follows:

1.The UK including Northern Ireland;

2. Northern Ireland only; and

3. The UK excluding Northern Ireland.

Note that the 2024 trade statistics are still preliminary figures and may be subject to revision at a later date.
