The Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) is an independent law officer under the Prosecution of Offences Act 1974 (as amended) and I have no role in relation to the work of the Office of the DPP.
As such I am not in possession of information regarding the number of files received by the DPP, decisions in relation to prosecutions, or appeals brought by that office.
I would advise the Deputy to direct any questions in relation to the work of the Office of the DPP directly to that office.
