To ask the Minister for Housing, Planning, and Local Government the total number of copper communication lines within his Department currently in active operation and for which his Department is paying for on a monthly basis inclusive of ISDN, PTSN and copper-based lease lines; and if he will make a statement on the matter. My Department has 216 ISDN lines and 62 PSTN lines in operation. As these are all copper based lines this equates to 494 copper lines (i.e. 2 copper lines per ISDN and 1 per PSTN).
