I have visited a number of National Cultural Institutions and met with the relevant Chairs and/or Directors since taking office including the National Archives of Ireland, the Irish Museum of Modern Art, the National Library of Ireland and the National Gallery of Ireland. I have attended events at the National Concert Hall and further meetings will take place in the near future. I did meet with the Chair of the NCH, but that was in her capacity as Chair of the Arts Council. Senior officials in my Department meet regularly with the Chair and the Chief Executive Officer of the National Concert Hall, most recently on Thursday 13 March.
